** This is not a telecommuting or contract position; we are seeking a local applicant for this full time, in-house position. **

Search Engine Optimization Specialist Job Description:
SEO Specialist with knowledge of both onsite and offsite optimization techniques.
Review and analyze web sites from a technical and architectural standpoint to identify SEO problems and hindrances.
Develop and implement SEO recommendations for improvement and better optimization.
Work within our marketing department and advise on different search engine optimization, social media and web site design ideas to improve online visibility for our products.
Additionally, duties may include keyword research, meta tag and content optimization strategies and recommendations; some link building.

Proficient Knowledge of:
Photoshop
Dreamweaver
Online SEO Tools and Software For Collecting & Analyzing Data For SEO

Requirements:
Good copywriting skills
Know how to do a keyword analysis
Be familiar with link building
Be willing to do the details – very detail oriented
Be able to show at least two successfully optimized sites
Knowledgeable of SE algorithms and relevancy determination
Should possess knowledge of coding and the ability to optimize coding for SEO purposes (HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, 301/302 redirects)
Knowledge of ethical Search Engine Optimization tactics and guidelines
Command of common issues and SEO-pitfalls
Experience with Social Media networks for businesses - Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
Analytical thinker - able to come up with solutions - Problem solver
Quick learner - self motivated and able to multitask
Have creativity and marketing knowledge
Must be a team player

Position & Company Details
F/T, 40-hrs a week and may begin as early as 6AM. Medical and dental after 90 days.
This position would start between $30k and $50k annually, DOE.

The SEO candidate would work with an experienced SEO mentor as well as a team of approximately ten other people; web designers & programmers, copywriters, graphic artists and general marketing associates. We’re looking for a team player.
